Lots of Talents

Well done to Year 6 for showing their various talents in school this week.
At awards assembly on Wednesday, all the sports and academic awards from the year were given out.
On Thursday morning, Year 4 and Year 6 recorder and guitar groups played in a special music assembly. They were all fantastic and a credit to the school.
Year 6 will share their final assembly in school on Monday morning and their leavers' mass in Chruch on Tuesday morning at 10am.

French Picnic

On Tuesday, the children in year 6 had the chance to try out the French they have been learning this term. At our picnice, we could all show that we could greet in french, ask for food and drink and exchange other conversations.

Grid references

On Friday, in our Geography lesson, we looked at OS maps and how to use grid references.
We now know how to navigate around the Birmingham area if the 'SAT NAV' does not work. Next lesson we hope to move onto six figure grid references!

How to make a bridge from paper

On Thursday, Year 6 had a mission - to make a bridge from 3 pieces of A4 which could span 20 cm.
All the groups had different approaches to the task - rolling the paper, folding it up, creating a fan - and all of these had pros and cons.
By the end of the session, 6 relatively sound structures had been made. Well done!
