Bird Show

Today our Year 6 children, along with other children from St. Bernadette's, visited Archbishop Ilsley School for a Falconry display. The 'bird man' showed us many birds of prey and we were able to answer question on adaptation, habitats and food chains. It fitted in really well with some of the work we have done in Science this year. We thank Mr Kelly, Mrs Girling and Mrs Dwyer for coming with us this afternoon!

I thought the birds were very interesting and i was very excited to meet them. The barn owl was the most colourful and was very quiet when it flew. The Eagle was gigantic and looked dangerous. I thought the hawk was funny as it could focus its head in a spot and keep it there when its body was moved! I learnt a lot from this visit and enjoyed it tremendously.
